In this course, Michelle Pierce, a contemporary stained glass artist, will teach basic glass cutting and copper foil techniques. She will coach you through patterning, cutting, grinding, foiling, soldering, framing with lead, overlays and polishing a finished 5″x8″ suncatcher. Beginners and anyone wishing a refresher are welcome! Materials and safety equipment included. (Please wear closed-toe shoes)

Class 1: Tools, techniques, and safety. Transfer the pattern. Cutting straights and inside curves.
Class 2: Grinding for good fit, foiling, hobby caming.
Class 3: Soldering, overlays, loops, polish.

Where: Mayfair Art Studios, Studio 11 (#203) on the second floor.
When: First three Wednesdays of November, 4 to 6 pm. (November 3rd, 10th & 17th)
Cost: $185.00 for the course (six hours of total instruction), limited to five guests
